Analysis of Research Papers on the Use of English Movies in Chinese Senior High School English Teaching in the Past Three Years

Much attention has been paid to using English movies in senior high school teaching China since the release of 2017 edition Senior High School Curriculum Standards that lists Movie Appreciation as an optional compulsory course. teachers have conducted substantial research over past three years regarding practical application their teaching, yet there a lack thorough and systematic analysis large number relevant papers published, which, more or less, limits understanding further advancements this study area. This paper attempts, light emerging review methodology, present overview spanning period 2019 2022 on use Chinese from four perspectives: language ability, cultural awareness, thinking quality, learning ability based concept core literacy academic discipline new curriculum standard. With focus discussion common problems corresponding countermeasures sorted out works front-line teachers, also puts forward suggestions prospects for studies.
